Cancer walk was an inspiring event |

I took a walk late Saturday night. It was not just any walk, it was a walk for the cure for cancer. The event started around 6 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Field. As I was walking around looking for my friends, I passed many campsites – tents, campers, families, friends, all there to be a part of this wonderful evening. These teams would be walking around the clock until 6 a.m., facing the elements. At around 9 p.m. everyone at Centennial track stood and listened to instructions for the silent lap around Centennial field. |

A huge thanks goes out to everyone who participated in this years Relay For Life. It's because of all of your hard work and sacrifice that this years Relay was such a success. 2008 Relay for Life, Cruz’n for a Cure will be held on Saturday, May 17th at Centennial High School Track. A committee of volunteers is working to bring you another top-notch Relay with lots of entertainment and excitement throughout the evening, beginning at 6:00 pm with the opening ceremonies and survivor walk. At dusk, the Luminarias will light the night and illuminate the HOPE that a CURE will soon be found.  Whether its classic cars…NASCAR…race cars…grab your friends, family, and co-workers, form a team and join us to celebrate, honor and remember those who have fought this battle.
